We believe in training up the next generation (our children and our children’s children) to know who God is and what He says about their life. Our children’s church is designed to impart into the next generation at a very young age. Since our vision is to have strong families, we know that children are a delicate, yet intricate part of the family structure and we want them to know how to worship their Heavenly Father at a very young age. “One generation shall praise thy works to another, And shall declare Thy mighty acts.” Psalms 145:4

Our nursery has a wonderful and loving atmosphere for the babies to be able to play, sleep, and grow spiritually. We pray with them, worship and sing with them, do age appropriate crafts and teach Bible lessons.

 I am attending Miami University of Ohio to receive my B.A. in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with the “Harvest Kids” from the beginning of City Harvest Church. My passion has always been working with young children. This age especially draws me because I enjoy being able to teach infants and children from a young age about God in a fun and entertaining manner. I am an advocate of putting babies, as soon as they are three months old, into the nursery as well. I believe this because it is a great way for them to be in a positive, loving environment even before they can truly understand what is going on.  The other nursery workers and I always put on Christian music that will uplift the children at any age and we always greet the little ones with a smile on our face and God’s love pouring out of us!

Joyce Bryant: I have been married for 38 years to my husband, Julian. I have three children and have been blessed with two grandchildren. I have been a follower of Christ for over 35 years. I was raised in church and saw the love of God through people. My mother was very dedicated and sincere and I was able to see the impact that Christ had in her life. After watching my mother, I have developed a love for God’s house. I enjoy working with the children through illustrative sermons, arts and crafts, praying with them and for them. Since coming to City Harvest my passion has grown for equipping this generation of believers.

Tom & Victoria Wilson: They have been married for 14 years and have lived in this area most of their lives. We began ministry together shortly after we were married.  They have had the privilege of serving in such capacities as: Youth Sunday School class, Youth Pastors, and then to Assistant Pastors. We took a break from ministry for a few years while we adopted our son from Guatemala. They had been leaders in a church, but God gave us this time to become leaders in our home. To learn how to be parents and train a young man in the Lord so that when he grows old, he will not depart from Him. Other than Jesus, he is the number one joy in our lives.

It is our desire and passion to show God’s love to everyone we meet, Jesus said in Luke 18:16, “let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” If children are the heartbeat of Jesus, then they should be our heartbeat also.  Our vision is to invest in our future, our children, To teach them the values and principles found in God’s word. This is our mission every week here at City Harvest Church.

Troy and Amy Pennington: Troy was raised in church as the son of an Assembly of God pastor. He attended North Central Bible College studying Biblical languages and served in the United States Navy for six years as a Hebrew Linguist. Over the years he has remained deeply involved in church ministry. Amy was raised in the church where her grandmother served as the worship leader. She is very passionate about all the arts and studied art at the University of Cincinnati.

Troy and Amy met while leading worship at New Hope Family Worship Center. Over the next six years they would go on to lead the youth group as well as serving on the adult worship team. God later called them to another church where they served on the worship team and lead another youth group. They have continued to pursue the passion God has given them and are excited to see what God has for them at City Harvest.

Amy and Troy have now been married for 10 years and have four beautiful children: Emma 9, Caleb 7, Micah 5, and Audrey 3.
